I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! We did. The monkeys had a ball! We stayed home Christmas Eve and made cookies. Mike had to work so it was a lonely day for me but the monkeys kept me busy! Then Christmas Day Santa came to see the monkeys. Then that evening Mama & Daddy, Alan, Cheryl, Emily & Jonathan came over and we exchanged gifts.
The Day after Christmas we had Christmas with the Walker family. And the next day with the Robinson's. So we had a busy few day. If you consider we might go somewhere one day a week we really did have a busy few days. We have paid for it. The kids have been so ill. They did not sleep good over Christmas, to much going on! So now we are trying to get everything back to normal! But now Levi is sick, so maybe we will get back to normal in a few days. Here is our Christmas tree after Santa had been. Santa left them each 1 gift. But 95% of what is under the tree is theirs also. So they did not go with out and they had a ball opening gifts! Santa ate the cookies & drank the milk but he did not clean up after his self. Left his plate in the living room! I just noticed he didn't even use a coaster! I am going to have to get on to "Santa"!

I had thought I got pictures of everybody but now looking at my pictures I know I didn't. Sorry if I missed you, I didn't mean to! I will try to do better next time!

Here is my sick baby! This is night 2 of this. He has an ear infection and a sinus infection. He is 4 years old and taking his first antibiotics. I sure hope they work soon! Last night his fever would go up to 103.6 and then I would get it down and he would have chills for a couple of hours and then it would go right back up. It was a very long night! I am hoping we both get more rest tonight than we did last night!
Good Night everyone! I am going to go check on Levi and if all is well I am heading to bed!

Almost Christmas!

Well I went to bed the night after I found out that Abbie had to pee in a cup trying to figure out how I was going to get this done. I got her to pee in a baggie in her potty chair. This is why I don't sleep at night. I go to bed trying to figure out how to get things done around here.

Andy did really good seeing Dr Coleman. He was not happy about the 2 shots. On the way home I told him the same thing I had told Abbie about not telling Levi about the shots. He said OK, I should have known better! He walked in the door telling Levi "You gonna get 2 shots and it hurt!". Oh well so much for not telling Levi. But Levi did great, even knowing he was going to get 2 shots. All 3 passed the hearing test. That just tells me it is that "male hearing" thing. You know the one where you can talk to a man and they never hear anything you say. Andy & Levi are 4 years old and already have a really bad case of this. I do know they cough it from, their daddy! Levi has to go see a heart doctor the first of Jan. We have already done this one time, but Dr Coleman thinks we need to get it checked one more time. It has been 2 years since the last time it was checked. Best I can remember we were told it was something he would grow out of. I sure hope that is all there is to it.

I have all my Christmas shopping done. Everything wrapped and under the tree, except their stocking suffers and what Santa is bringing. Most everything they are getting is wrapped under the tree. Abbie's is in princess paper. Levi's is in batman paper. Andy's is in Spider man paper. For some reason they think what is wrapped in princess paper is Granny's. What is in Batman paper is pops. And the stuff wrapped in Spider man paper is Uncle Alan's. So far this has kept them from opening anything. They get it out from under the tree and look at it but they have not opened any of it. They were telling pops about it and he told them that they were going to have to open his and tell him what it was. Pops got in big trouble over that one!

Mama and I carried the monkeys to see Santa the other day. They were looking forward to it. This is the first year that they have actually talked to Santa and told him what they wanted. Well the boys told him what they wanted. Abbie told him she could not decide. He told her that hers would be a surprise then. This is from their first Christmas. 2005This is their 2nd Christmas. 2006This is their 3rd Christmas - 2007This is their 4th Christmas - 2008
This is this years Christmas picture with Santa. It is so hard to me to believe they are this big!
They each have a small Christmas tree in their rooms. Ever since I got them out pops has been telling Abbie that he wants her tree. Abbie has told him "NO - it's a girl tree!" And he keeps bugging her about it. They stayed with granny & pops Wed. for me to finish shopping. While they were there pops told them he really needed Abbie's tree so Santa would come and see him. They fussed with him most of the time they were up there about it. After we got home Andy and Levi told me that pops did not need Abbie's tree because he was on the bad list and he was not getting anything any way. Pops loved this!

Rain, Rain, GO AWAY!!!! I am so tired of all this rain! If you walk in our yard you get mud all over you! Today we got 2-1/2" in a few hours. The ground has already soaked up all it can, so it is just on top of the ground. Even when it is not raining we don't go out much. I can deal with the monkeys getting muddy every once in a while. But not every time they go out in the yard! This is a couple of pictures from our back yard. Needless to say we are going to have ditches out there when all this is over. Andy & Levi were looking out Levi's window at all this today. They told me that if they were out side they could see this a lot better. Yea, not happening!

It has stopped raining right now. I am hoping we don't get anymore, But I am not that lucky. I just looked at NOAA. Maybe it won't rain! Here is the forecast up to Christmas Day.

The monkeys would love snow! There was a big frost the other morning. Levi wanted to know what it was, was it snow. At least the ground would be frozen and we would not get stuck in the mud!

Night all!

Its been a LONG LONG week

We had a really good Thanksgiving. The monkeys had a ball with all the company and attention! If I had felt better that would have been a plus, but anyway. After lunch momma, me & the monkeys went to Tallapoosa to the Christmas open house. We had a good time walking around looking until Levi had an accident. Well I am not sure it was an accident, he never told us he had to go. For some reason he does this every time we go to Tallapoosa. Maybe he just does not like being up there. Oh well, I have now put extra clothes and shoes in the van. It is getting old having to go buy clothes when this happens. But it had better stop happening!

Abbie had to go to the doctor yesterday for her check up. The doctor seemed to be really happy with everything. They are going to do a few test just for precautions. She drinks water like a fish. Just want to make sure that it is just one of those things and not anything to worry about. So they want a urine sample. The problem with this is that we are talking about Abbie. The little one who walks into a bathroom, looks around and if she does not like what she sees, she will say "I not use dis potty". And she will not, she will hold it for hours if she has to. So we had to bring it home with us. So in the morning I have to get her to pee in a cup. And she does not want to. Oh what fun to start the day off with.

After I get Abbie to pee in the cup then Andy has to go for his check up. If he is like Abbie it will go OK until he finds out he has to get 2 shots. They wanted to give them 4 but I was not going for that. They will check his hearing, this should be interesting. They have already developed that male pattern hearing. You know what I mean... They only hear what they want to. After they check their hearing I will know for sure that is what it is.
Well I have decided that if I am not feeling much much better by Monday I will be going to the doctor. That will be 3 weeks of feeling like crap. That is enough. I will feel better for a day and then it is right back. Getting Old!
Here are some of the pictures I made for the Christmas cards. I think some of them came out OK.
Have a good night!

Cooking & Cleaning

I have spent today & yesterday cleaning the house and cooking. I still need to vacuum but other than that the house is for the most part clean. The dressing is ready to go in the oven. I baked a cake, Toasted Butter Pecan Cake. I sure hope it is good. Chocolate covered pretzels and brownies. Tomorrow I am fixing green beans, mac & cheese, cream potatoes & a loaf of bread.
I hope that everything goes good. Right now I am just praying that I get to feeling better. Right now I have a fever of 101.5. I think it is just a cold/sinus infection. And it is night time and you always feel worse at night. Fingers crossed. I remember having the flu, this is not the flu. Thank God! After lunch tomorrow we are going to go to Tallapoosa and look at all the Christmas decorations. A lot of the shops up there are going to be open. The kids think they are going to get toys. Best I can remember there is no where up there that sells toys! YEA!!! Abbie has several Christmas outfits, most years she never really gets to ware them that much, but this year I am going to put them on her every chance I get. Starting tomorrow!
I have got to check and see when Santa is going to be at the mall. We have gone to the same Santa for pictures every year, except the year they were born, they were only 5 or 6 weeks old their first Christmas. Anyway, this Santa has a real beard. Good thing the boys would more than likely remove a fake one in a heart beat!
OK - I still have to vacuum tonight and then I am headed to bed!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Sick Monkeys

Thursday morning they got up and Andy had a fever. It was 103.6. I gave him medicine and got it to coming down and checked everyone else again. Levi is fine but Abbie's is 102.8. So I give her medicine. Got her fever down. This went on all day. They did nothing but lay around all day. I looked at their throat before they went to bed. The back of Andy's mouth looked terrible. All splotchy. So I am thinking strep, going to the doctor tomorrow. Got up Thursday morning, They both have fevers so I call and make them an appointment. Get up there and they check them for strep. Nope they don't have it. They check them for the flu. Nope they don't have it. So she tell me it is a virus. That it will have to run it's course. Keep doing what I am doing. So we come back home. Don't get me wrong, I am glad it was noting more than a virus, but I sure wish I had of waited to carry them. It was $80.00 to be told to keep doing what I was doing. The next morning their fever was in the low 99's. So we got out side for a while. It was so nice out there. They helped me put up the Christmas decorations outside. They had a ball. We had been out there a while and I noticed Levi was sitting on the carport watching us. I asked him if he was OK. "Yep, just watching". OK I finish up out there and go over and check on him. He is burning up. Checked his temperature, it was 103.4. So in we go. Gave him medicine. Now he is laying around the rest of the day. Got up this morning and his fever is anywhere between 99 to 100.6. I have not gave him any medicine. If it does not get any higher than this I will let it go. He has been fine, playing and fighting all day, just like normal.
Now Andy... He is about to drive me crazy! I hope it is a stage he is going through and it will be over with SOON! Whining! About everything! Fussing with me about everything. He has no idea of what the word NO means. Or at least he does not at like he does! For some reason this gets worse when his daddy is home. I love it when Mike is home, but... It is so much harder to deal with the boys when he is here. It is like they go wild. It took me forever to get them into the bed after he left tonight. But they are asleep now! Have been for awhile now! Thank God!
So now I am looking for Abbie's doll house for part of her Christmas. I also am checking on e-bay for v-smile games. If anyone has any on the v-smile games they want to get rid of please let me know! I am thinking they will be good stocking suffers. But those suckers are about $20.00 each at WM. I have ordered them on e-bay for around $9 each. Now I have to find the boys something else for Christmas and I am finished with theirs!
But right now I am heading to bed! Night All!

The Monkeys are now 4!

Well the monkeys are now 4! I just does not seem right. My babies can not be 4 years old already! But they are! They had a ball! We got up the day of their birthday and had breakfast. Orange danishes! Yuck! But that is what they wanted. They we got dressed and went to Carrollton. We went to Air Jump USA. Or as Abbie calls it the "soft slide" place. When we left there we went to McD's. They ate and played on the play ground. Oh and before we left to go to Carrollton Mike and I gave them their birthday presents. Andy & Levi got their "bat castles" and Abbie got her Princess castle. But it is not the one she wanted. She wanted one with an elevator. But she did not bother to tell any body that. So she didn't get it. It really made me feel so bad. The boys got just what they wanted, but she didn't. But they had a great day.

We had their birthday party Sunday. Here is Andy's cake. Here is Levi's cake.
Here is Abbie's cake. This is not the cake she started out with. She had a princess cake to start with. But I had to draw the face with icing. It looked like something possessed! I decided that it was not going to work. I got all the cake pans out that I have acquired over the years and told her to pick out the one that she wanted. So Buggs Bunny it was! Here is the cake she started out with. It looked good until I got to the eyes! No more birthday cakes with faces like this! I like face plates!I have told every one that Abbie likes My Little Pony and the boys like Batman. Here are a couple of pictures.
This is some of Abbie's My Little Pony's. She loves these things! There are 2 drawers that I keep the boys Batmen, Spider men and Supermen among other things. This is not including the ones they took to bed with them or the ones in the living room or the ones in the van or the ones that go with their bat castles. See we need some more of these things!

Tues I decided that we would go let Abbie get the castle with the elevator if she wanted it. They had birthday money and it was their money so why not. Well we got up there and they didn't have what she wanted. The boys got a couple of new Batmen each, you know since we don't have any here. But Abbie was pissed. She would not even look at anything else. So we went to another store to see if they had it. Nope. I got her to look at some other things, but she would not have any of them. Then I say the vtech V.Smile things. She liked the idea of this. They ended up getting one each. The boys each got a game. Abbie got 2 games. They love these things! It was 10:45 before I got them in the bed last night! Abbie was up at 6:30 this morning. Not good. Then she wanted me to come help her play her game... at 6:30AM! Nope not happening. I get up when they are sick, have bad dreams, want something to drink, need to go to the bath room, etc. BUT I AM NOT GETTING UP TO PLAY A GAME!!!!! Sorry Abbie. But then she starts down the hall to her room and started bellowing (this is what she does when she does not get her way!) at the top of her lungs right out side the boys room. So everybody is up by 6:45 AM! This is not good! But tonight I got the sliver lining! They were all asleep by 9:00 tonight! YEA!!! To bad they don't do that every night.
I have got our trees up in the house. There are 2 in Andy & Levi's room. 1 in Abbie's room. 1 in my bedroom. 1 in the duck bathroom. 1 in the dinning room and 2 in the living room. This is the first year I have been able to decorate since the monkeys were born! Well I could and they could un-decorate for me. I have all this Christmas decorations that I have acquired for the last 20 years. So there is still a lot of it that I am not using! Tomorrow I am going to work on the front porch and see if I can get it done. We have a big Santa and Snow Man that sit on the porch. Andy & Levi can't stand that they are on the porch. Every chance they get they bring them in the house! They would have them in the bed with them if they could get away with it!.
Anyway this is one of the trees in the living room. I like white light and everything matching!Well the monkeys like colored light and all sorts of stuff on the tree, nothing matching! So their tree is beside the fire place on the other side of the living room. If you look really close you will see there are several picture holder on the tree. And no I have not got pictures in them. I am working on it. Maybe by the time to put the trees up I will have it done.
Well I am ready to go to bed not so that is all for now! NIGHT!
